From 3:00PM to 4:00PM

On Saturday, February 15 at 3:00 PM, The Clinton Symphony Orchestra of the Mohawk Valley(CSOMV), in collaboration with Zion Episcopal Church, will present Elyane Laussade in a solo piano recital at the church, at 140 W. Liberty St., Rome. The program, titled “Fantasies and Dreams” includes music of Mozart, Schubert, Bach, Greenbaum, Faure, Liszt, and Verdi. All of the dreamy selections on the program are free-flowing compositions with an air of improvisational flair. The concert is a benefit for the Clinton Symphony Orchestra of the Mohawk Valley to help fund their "Favorites in Concert" program on May 31st. Free will donations gratefully accepted at the door. A graduate of the Juilliard school in New York City, pianist Elyane Laussade has delighted audiences on five continents with her imaginative and strongly individual playing. The New York Times has said she is “a pianist with a powerful, polished technique and many an original interpretive notion…. with an impeccable sense of style and dazzling power.” Originally from the USA, she is now based in Melbourne and has established herself as one of Australia’s finest performers. Laussade has performed around the world as a concert pianist, performing with orchestras in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, USA, and Europe. In April 2024, Elyane toured Italy where she performed recitals and gave masterclasses in Bologna, Carpi, Dozza, Orbetello, Modena, and Gallarate. Her recital tours in France have included solo recitals, chamber music with the Quatuor Joachim, and several WW1 commemorative recitals. Elyane’s love for the musical experience as a close encounter has inspired her to run a special series of intimate recitals at The Laussade Studio in Melbourne, as a soloist and in collaboration with illustrious Australian musicians and leading soloists from abroad. As part of her interaction with her audience, Elyane enjoys giving anecdotal commentaries during her solo recitals to help her listeners connect with the music. Elyane has played many concerts with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and has often been featured by ABC Classic FM and 3MBS FM in studio recordings and live broadcasts.
